Original Gustav Stickley 54" dining table with 4 leaves (two original & two replaced). Opens to 8 1/2 feet. Base original finish, top & leaves refinished. Signed red decal on side of base. Excellent quarter sawed oak. Measures approximately 54" diameter x 29.5" high. Gustav Stickley's pedestal base design features a strong yet graceful base which holds a fifth leg inside. When opened to receive the leaves, the center leg supports the leaves and the expanding pairs of legs make this a very stable table. Another advantage of the pedestal base when compared to his five leg and stretcher base table forms is more leg room around the table without interference with the legs.
